God has baked patterns into our living that point beyond this life to him, to the ultimate rest we can celebrate forever, fully participating in life the way God originally designed it to be.

Because relationships are not optional for believers, and because conversation is critical for relationships, we can each grow within our limitations, real and perceived, to interact meaningfully with the people in our lives. And we must.

Some anticipate getting new and better voices in heaven. Certainly we will not deal with limitations of health or endurance or strength. But if we are honest, our attention and interest regularly falter sooner than our voices. Never again in heaven.
